Starting Out™ SEND is an accessible version of our Starting Out™ life-readiness programme, designed for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
It covers the same essential life skills as the original Starting Out™ programme, with the content adapted to make learning clearer, more accessible and easier to work through.
Designed for SEND learners
Starting Out™ SEND uses clear language, manageable learning activities, visual support and practical real-life examples. Learners can work through the online programme at a pace appropriate for them.
The programme supports key areas of Preparation for Adulthood, helping young people develop greater confidence and independence as they move towards adult life.
