Julia Ndu

I am a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) with a strong commitment to early intervention, holistic health promotion, and tackling health inequalities. Since qualifying as an Adult Nurse in 2009, I have dedicated my career to supporting families and young people across London and surrounding counties, working with diverse communities to improve public health outcomes.

In 2014, I qualified as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, broadening my expertise to deliver 0-19 public health services, including Health Visiting and School Nursing. My passion for driving impactful health initiatives led me to earn a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice from King’s College London in 2017.

My work spans nurseries, childminders, foster care homes, residential care units, schools, and family home services, where I provide health promotion workshops and training to empower young people and families to make informed health choices. I have also been actively involved in training healthcare professionals, including health visitors and school nurses, in UNICEF’s Baby Friendly Initiative, ensuring they are well-equipped to support families in building strong foundations for lifelong wellbeing.

I am a firm advocate for reducing health inequalities, believing that positive health behaviours are shaped in childhood. Through a holistic approach to public health education and early intervention, I strive to ensure that every young person, regardless of background, has access to the knowledge, support, and opportunities needed to lead healthier lives.
